The St Kilda Short Challenge.

Challenge by Wells-next-the-Sea Sailing Club

for Individual sailors and teams

The St Kilda Short Challenge may be just 15 nautical miles around, but it offers a thrilling, poetic encounter with nature.

The most westerly point of the UK is surprisingly far out into the Atlantic. Sailors navigate wild winds, shifting tides, and dramatic cliffs in a compact yet unforgettable journey around the remote St Kilda archipelago, where the beauty of the open sea meets the spirit of adventure.

The day begins and ends in Village Bay and loops around Hirta and the smaller island of Soay.
