The Great Blasket Island Challenge. Set sail from Ventry Bay on a thrilling 30ish-nautical-mile journey around the Great Blasket Islands, following an anti-clockwise route through the wild Atlantic. Pass the towering cliffs and the solitary Tearaght Lighthouse, perched on Ireland's most westerly point, a beacon of guidance in these rugged seas. As you sail, jagged rocks rise visibly from the water like ancient sentinels, guarding the passage. Navigating these waters demands skill and attention, with the Atlantic’s swells and shifting winds adding to the challenge. Despite the trials, the unspoiled beauty of Ireland’s western edge promises a journey to remember. The Great Blasket Island Challenge is a day long adventure, which should reward you with a stunning Atlantic sunset,depending on sea conditions.
