Offshore E-Sailing Yacht Club - The Europe Race
As an armchair sailor you may dream of ripping up 100 dollar notes as fast as you can, under a cold shower, deprived of sleep, doing an ice-bucket challenge every 5 minutes.
For the next best thing we offer you to participate in this year's edition of The Europe Race series, in the sailing simulator SailAway. Racing your boat of choice in some 7 NM to 800 NM long oceangoing races. Participate in a minimum of 7 races to acquire a valid rating. We invite sailors to join us in a series of races going from European Seaport to European Seaport.
Skippers race results are scored overall by their rating achieved in races from October 4th 2025 till June 30th 2026. Races are scored on handicap by applying a Time Correction Factor based on the average polar graph of the boat design.
REGISTRATION
Registration is open to any boat, any crew as long as a valid average polar for the boat's design is publicly available. Check the Time Correction Factor table available at e-offshore-racing.com
THE RACE
The Europe Race is open to all boat designs that have a valid published average polar for all boats. The Europe Race race series will be conducted using the virtual sailing game Sailaway in its latest installment.
SCHEDULE
Regular races will be scheduled from Oct 4th 2025 til June 30th 2026 Regular races are scheduled to start on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Fridays race will start 17:10 UTC
Saturdays race will start 12:10 UTC
Sundays race will start 12:10 UTC
There may be Coastal Short Races replacing any and all races
Any start of a race may be postponed to a start time later that same day, without further notice.
There may be more races than mentioned in the Notice of Race without further notice.
