KING HAAKON BAY TO CAPE NORTH

King Haakon Bay → Cape North
Starting from the bay where the James Caird reached South Georgia in 1916, the Pipits heads north along the western side of the island toward Cape North. Mountains, glaciers and deeply cut bays dominate the coastline, while the exposed waters around the headlands make weather and timing an important part of the passage.
