This great journey will consist of retracing the route taken by the inhabitants of Tristan Da Cunha when they finally returned home. In 1961, the inhabitants of Tristan were forced to leave their island (the most isolated inhabited archipelago in the world), following the eruption of the Queen Mary volcano. As subjects of the United Kingdom, they were first evacuated to South Africa, then to England. But as soon as they learned in 1963 that their island was once again habitable, almost all of the 264 evacuated islanders decided to return home. You will make the same 5614 nm journey as they did, by sea from Southampton to their tiny capital: Edinburgh of the Seven Seas. If you are interested in this story, I highly recommend reading Les bienheureux de la désolation (The Blessed of Desolation) by Hervé Bazin, which tells Tristanians' story from the eruption to their return home.
