!! Event Update !! The start of the Albatroz Circumnavigation has been moved to Monday (06-29). After discussing it with everyone, it seems this gives more people the chance to participate without feeling rushed. The exact start time will be decided by community poll on club's discord channel. ________ Quick notice: I'll postpone the start date by one week. This should give the Sterna Migration enough time for the first boats to arrive — and everyone a chance to catch their breath before the next adventure. Thanks for your patience, and see you on the start line soon. Start from Cape Horn and follow a full circumnavigation along the southern latitudes, passing through remote island outposts along this band before returning to Cape Horn. It is the first circumnavigation race exclusively for the UCD3 Albatroz. The Albatroz was designed specifically for this route. It was previously tested as a prototype and proved to be capable in these conditions: stable, efficient, and able to handle strong winds and heavy seas. It is a long-range race for a long-range dinghy, built to be handled by a single sailor, prepared for endurance and consistency over this course.
