Hello, here is my first attempt at a boat build in the form of an ULTIM class trimaran (I enjoy a challange) and i am putting it out to the sailaway community for scrutiny and your ideas hence the low price. This build is not based particularly off any existing boat model however utilises features from across the field such as the main control cabin being forward of the mast for improved visibility as it is on ULTIM 3 Sodobo however, unconventionally this boat features T foils on the port and starboard sides which helps to increase lift. It also features a small aft deck with wheel albeit no winches for sail control which is similar to SVR lazartigue. PLEASE NOTE this is only accessable via moving through the cabin of the boat as due to the way SA3 works, we are currently unable to have multiple levels of walkways. As with most modern boats such as the latest generation of IMOCAS this boad is designed to be primarily sailed from the cabin so there are currently no trampolines however if you do wish to go outside for a better view, you are able to walk on the 'wings' of the boat which protrude from the main centeral hull. THE CATCH FOR THE LOW PRICE - This boat is definately still in an experimental phase and despite having done a fair bit of sailing in it there are still some errors so there may be frequent updates which will eventually lead to a higher price when I feel less guilty asking money for a boat that is only 3/4 completed. Some of these known errors are mentioned below. 1. Vang is essentially unuseable so for the mean time the mainsheet can be used to adjust leech tension and twist whilst a combination of this and the traveller can be used to change sail angle. 2. Rudders do not lift. I am aware that on other ULTIM designs lifting rudders are a feature however I have not yet worked out how to incorporate this fearure into my design. 3. centeral ruddder rotation. The cventeral rudder does not rotate about the center point. Is no issue for sailing is purely asthetic issue. 4. messy lines. I can only apologise for this and is one of the reasons why this model has remained with editable deck layouts.
