| Ultimate Cruiser Dinghy 03 Albatroz | |
|
Named after the great ocean wanderer Diomedea exulans, the UCD03 Albatroz is a long-range cruiser dinghy conceived for the vast winds and rolling seas of the Southern Ocean — a boat designed not just to sail far, but to stay at sea. The Albatroz is tribute to Amyr Klink's I.A.T., as well as by a wider lineage of traditional Brazilian canoes. Its sail design takes direct inspiration from Brazilian jangadas, combining simplicity, efficiency, and resilience. Elongated, seaworthy hull optimized for long passages and wave-piercing efficiency. Long, retractable centerboard, offering deep lateral resistance offshore and safe draft reduction for shoal waters and beaching. Powerful yet manageable sail plan, tuned for sustained heavy-weather sailing. Simple, robust systems focused on reliability over weeks at sea. Built to be driven day after day, the Albatroz rewards patience and seamanship with confidence, rhythm, and a steady, reassuring motion through rough water. Designed for coastal expeditions, ocean crossings, and full circumnavigations. ⚠️ Warning: this is a small and true ocean boat. Conditions can be extreme — reef early, sail conservatively, and always respect the limits of both vessel and sailor. Join the UCDs Club: https://discord.gg/k4R6ZwFfnJ |
