Named after the migratory bird Sterna paradisaea, the UCD01 Sterna is an experimental blend of speed and serenity - a cruiser–racer dinghy designed for sailors who seek freedom across all horizons. Inspired by the Snipe, Dory and the most advanced racing boats, the Sterna combines agility and stability with a modern twist: Foil-assisted hull for smooth planing and control at high speed. Versatile sail plan: mainsail, jib, storm jib, and genoa with a bowsprit. Water ballast system for dynamic stability. Simplified rigging, easy to handle even in rough conditions. Built for shallow waters and heavy weather alike, the Sterna offers precise handling, lively trim response, and pure sailing joy. ⚠️ Warning: this boat can capsize.
