The Red Dragon Merchant Junk is a 30 meter fictional coastal trading vessel inspired by the merchant junks that once sailed the waters of East and Southeast Asia. Built for cargo rather than comfort, she features a spacious open freight deck, compact aft pilot house, and a simple single-mast rig designed for operation by a small crew. Her broad wooden hull provides excellent cargo capacity and stability, while weathered timber construction, faded red topsides, and a blackened hull reflect years of hard service transporting crates, barrels, and valuable goods between distant ports. A practical workhorse rather than a showpiece, the Red Dragon embodies the spirit of the merchant sailors who carried commerce across the seas. Want to try her before you buy? Just ping me or leave me a private message in Sailaway and I can arrange for a private tour. The default cargo are 3D crates, but by going into the liveries of the boat, you can make the 4 big crates and the top small crate invisible, then make all the other cargo types (ore, coal, et.) Default Opaque, then use the Load/Unload colliders in the Pilot House to switch cargo type. I would recommend you make a second copy of the boat, so one is with the 3D crates, and the other one with the different type of bulk loads. |
