The Muscadet is a very well known small French plywood keelboat by Philippe Harlé. Nearly 600 of them were built by the Aubin shipyard between 1963 and 1979. Although she is a coastal boat, the Muscadet is more offshore-oriented than other boats of the same size. As a cruising yacht, she is widely appreciated for its solidity, conviviality and family aspect, to the point of creating a dedicated association in 1987, the Association des propriétaires de Muscadet (Muscadet Owners' Association). Voted Sailboat of the Century by Voiles et Voiliers magazine, the Muscadet, despite its 60 years of age, remains a respected opponent in regattas. This is a work in progress: the boat will be subject to change until completed. For example, there is no spinnaker at the moment, as Sailaway only offers gennaker. |
