Experimental Superfoiler | |
Mirabaud LX is a monohull foiler built for sailing on lake geneva. First sailed in 2008, without a hull, this boat was an ongoing experiment into pushing the limits of boat design. Crewed by Thomas Jundt, Antoine Ravonel and Eric Gobet it achieved top speeds of over 25 knots at weymouth speed week in 2010, allegedly having gone beyond 30 knots on lake geneva later in its life. This is not a perfect replica as in 2011 they switched over to a rigid wing sail, instead this boat incorporates elements from different iterations of mirabaud throughout the years. Modeled both in fusion 360 and blender. There will be future changes made to this boat, if this message is still here, im still actively working on it. To come: Trapeze wires, Hull detailing, and better sail textures. Aside from those main items, there will also be tweaks to models, and the rigging, rest assured the standard of quality will go up. |
