Buyer Beware! This boat is still an active project. It is at least 95 percent complete and is currently a fully functional 60 class Sailboat. It qualifies for the Sailaway Imoca class. This design is not based off of any current real life boat that I know of. I beleive my hull design is not a typical hull of this class but it seems to perform well in the sim. My overall plan was to have a 60 class racer that would also make a great live aboard cruiser. As an active project I will be adding more parts over time but I have no set date for completion. As it is now it is ready to race and sails very well. This boat is also rigged very simple and is easy to use. But feel free to customize the deck layout how ever you'd like. Includes Mainsail, Gennaker, Code 0, J1, J2, J3, and J4 sails. Equiped with Starboard and Port retractable foils. Dual retractable rudders, and a 25 degree per side canting keel. This boat likes to be pushed hard into the foil and performs best at 30 to 35 degree heel and with a TWA of 80 to 110 degrees. I have a long to do list on this boat and not much spare time to work on it so if you do purchase please know that more details will be added to the boat over time. |
