You can help improve Sailaway yourself if you want. There is an active community that uses the Sailaway World Builder to recreate ports, lighthouse and other scenery. They use a separate Discord server "Sailaway Scenery Design" to plan their work and communicate with each other. Ask for an invitation to this server via in-game chat or in the general Discord channel of Sailaway.
If you are into racing, you can organise your own races. You can find more information here on how to get started.
If you are more into long distance sailing or record attempts, challenges are more suitable for you. You can create challenges (see the faq for an explanation of what challenges are) and make them accessible for everyone by sending an email to support@sailaway.world
Sailaway is available in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Russian and Japanese. However, these translations were made by professional translators, not sailors. Sometimes there may be omissions or translations that make no sense. If you want to fix them, or perhaps even add your own language, send an email to support@sailaway.world and we'll set you up with the tools you need.
Inside the game when you go to the main menu and then to Tutorials or to Activities, you can add external links to YouTube videos and webpages. If you come across a useful resource, why not share it with other sailors by adding the link there. Or maybe you have recorded game footage of how to raise sails or plot waypoints along a tricky shore. If you share the link, others can benefit. All links are also shown on this website here for tutorials and here for other resources.
And perhaps the best way to help out is by showing good seamanship. Help inexperienced sailors and newcomers. Be polite and friendly. Join user groups. Join events. Socialise.
